1952-1989
Establishing the Business
Sudarshan’s efforts were largely domestic and with a limited portfolio range.
Manufacturing units in Pune & Roha.
1961 Organic Pigments
Sudarshan begin manufacturing organic pigments such as benzene yellow and signal red
1973 Roha Production
Production plant in Roha built in 1973
1989-2006
Next Leap in Technology
Sudarshan build their technical capabilities and infrastructure to grow within the classical organic pigment, phthalocyanines & effect pigment spaces.
1993 Mahad Production
Production plant in Mahad built in 1993 manufacturing phthalocyanines & effect pigments. Pune production receives ISO 9001 certification.
Pune production moved
Pune production moved completely to Roha & Mahad.
2006-2016
Going Global
Sudarshan created its footprint in Europe & USA
Sudarshan looks to further expand its product portfolio in HPPs and geographically create a footprint in China and South America.
World Class Standards
Scaled up infrastructure to world-class standards and dramatically improved the portfolio with high performance pigments and effects for cosmetics.
Global R&D Centre
A state-of-the-art research and development centre was created at Sutarwadi
Sudarshan's History
Sudarshan began manufacturing pigments in 1952 and have since expanded their product range to cover Azo Pigments, High Performance Polycyclic Pigments, CICP (Complex Inorganic Colored Pigments), Solvent Dyes, Pigment Preparations and Effect Pigments.
